Month6 vs Fitbod: which training app fits you?

The short version
Fitbod and Month6 both decide what you train, rather than leaving you to write a program. Fitbod's core is the session itself: it generates each workout from your goal, the equipment you have and what you logged before, and adjusts sets, reps and weight as you go. Month6 builds a rotation of training days from your goal and schedule, and wraps it in daily calorie and protein targets and a projected figure of your body at Month 6.
This page compares them as they stood on the date at the top. Facts about Fitbod come from Fitbod's own site, help center and App Store listing, linked in the table; prices are the ones Fitbod's help center states, and the App Store also showed other price points for some regions and offers. Pick on fit, not on a ranking.

“Not listed” means the feature appears nowhere on the official pages we read, not that Fitbod said it doesn't exist. Prices are in US dollars and can differ by store and region.
Where they differ
A new session each time, or a rotation
Fitbod builds each workout fresh, choosing exercises from your equipment and how recovered each muscle is, so two sessions rarely look alike. Month6 builds a rotation of named training days and offers the next one whenever you train, so a missed day rolls forward and the same lifts come back often enough to track. Both adjust the load from your logged sets; they differ in how much the exercise list changes.
Paying to log
Fitbod's help center says logging new workouts needs a subscription once the seven-day trial ends. Month6 keeps the full log, every chart, the generated plan and the projection free, and charges only for the AI coach, whose monthly plan starts with a free trial.
Nutrition
Fitbod focuses on training: its listing names no food log or calorie targets, and its trainer service lists nutrition plans as out of scope. Month6 sets calorie, protein, carb and fat targets from your goal and logs food alongside your training.
Asking questions
Fitbod includes human trainers who answer by email. Month6's Pro coach is an AI that reads your whole log, answers in the app and can rewrite your split when you ask.
Watches
Fitbod runs on Apple Watch and Wear OS as well as phones. Month6 is iPhone and Android only.
